KAD MODELS & PROTOTYPES, INC. in Vermont is seeking a CNC Programmer to handle complex assignments for prototype fabrication across multiple materials, including metals and plastics.

The role emphasizes independent work, precise problem solving, and delivering high-tolerance parts for diverse applications, with a fast-paced, challenging environment. Responsibilities include program development, tooling creation, and in-process inspection, with a strong focus on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have two years of CNC prototype manufacturing experience, CAM preferred.
• Ability to plan, program and setup jobs from CAD files (2D and solid models) and prints.
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and position up to 50 lbs and perform inspections with basic tools.
• Experience with Haas mills and complex 3D surface programming is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Program parts using Fusion 360 or SurfCAM
• Create products and tooling from stainless steel, aluminum, and engineered plastics
• Develop silicon molding and rigid tooling fabrication
• Deburr and inspect in-process and finished components to verify specs
• Complete project paperwork
• Work independently and with the team on complex setups
• Balance time across multiple projects and support teammates
