Job summary

Kensington Consulting Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for a Philadelphia R&D prototype machining environment. You will develop, write, and optimize Mastercam programs for multi-axis machines used in next-generation medical device development.

You'll collaborate with R&D engineers and machinists, interpret CAD data, and maintain tight tolerances while improving cycle times. Experience with Haas, Swiss Star, 4 Micron S400, and Heidenhain controls is preferred, and a relocation package is

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer.
• Proficiency with Mastercam for complex, high-precision programs.
• Experience programming multi-axis CNC machines.
• Experience in prototype, R&D, or NPI environments preferred.
• Medical device or high-precision industry experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimise CNC programs using Mastercam.
• Program and support machining operations across Haas, Swiss Star, 4 Micron S400.
• Interpret CAD models, engineering drawings, and prototype specifications.
• Support prototyping, validation builds, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming challenges.
• Optimise toolpaths, strategies, and cycle times for prototype work.
• Maintain high precision and adherence to tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers and machinists.
