Job summary

NYCOR is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Process Technician in the Plymouth area to program and optimize milling, turning, grinding, and Swiss machining. You will create setup instructions, troubleshoot issues, and lead small improvement projects to boost quality and efficiency.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on CNC programming with exposure to multiple machine types; Mastercam experience is ideal.

Qualifications

AA or equivalent in Machining or Machining Technology.
3+ years hands-on CNC programming experience across mills, lathes, grinders, or Swiss.
Ability to create clear cutting/machining setup instructions and work instructions.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, materials, and CNC programming/setup.
Ability to own projects and lead small teams or improvement initiatives.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication with machinists, engineers, and production.

Responsibilities

Program and support CNC machining operations across milling, turning/lathe, grinding and/or Swiss machining using Mastercam.
Develop and maintain clear, accurate machine setup instructions, tooling requirements, and work instructions.
Troubleshoot machining and process issues and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
Lead small projects and cross-functional groups focused on continuous improvement.
Help develop and improve processes from initial setup through production.
Support a culture of continuous improvement, problem-solving, and manufacturing excellence.
