Job summary

RNInk is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop and optimize programs for precision machined parts. You will translate engineering drawings into safe, efficient machining processes, collaborating with machinists, manufacturing engineering, and quality to meet dimensional and finish requirements.

You’ll work on tool selection, CAM verification, first-piece prove-outs, and continuous improvement of cycle times and tool life.

Qualifications

Practical CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T.
Working knowledge of G-code, M-code, machining principles, tools and workholding.
Experience with CAD/CAM software, program verification, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
Ability to use precision inspection tools and communicate with machinists and engineers.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs from drawings and models.
Develop machining sequences, select tools, holders, and setup strategies.
Use CAD/CAM tools to simulate and verify machining processes.
Support first-piece prove-outs, machine setups, and on-floor adjustments.
Optimize toolpaths, cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional consistency.
Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, program docs, and operator instructions.
Collaborate with quality to verify print requirements.
Assist with fixture concepts and feedback on manufacturability.
