Job summary

Emerson is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for our Marshalltown, IA facility. You will develop and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines, translating drawings into efficient toolpaths using CAM software and designing fixtures for repeatable setups.

Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience or a related 2-year degree is required. Proficiency with Edgecam, GibbsCam, and Siemens NX, plus strong geometry skills and the ability to read complex drawings, are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC machining and programming experience or 2-year degree in relevant field
• Experience with CAM software: Edgecam, GibbsCam, Siemens NX
• Strong understanding of geometry and trigonometry fundamentals
• Ability to read and apply engineering part prints and drawings

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines using CAM software
• Design and specify fixturing and workholding for repeatable setups and accuracy
• Analyze quality data and assist with root cause investigations for nonconformances; implement corrective changes
• Identify and lead process improvements to reduce cycle times, tool wear, scrap and rework
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production to ensure manufacturability and support new product introduction
• Assist in development of capital investment plans for machine and fixture capability
• Provide mentorship to CNC operators and programmers for consistent process execution
