Job summary

Acara Solutions in Tampa, FL is seeking a CNC Programmer/Operator to program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components for worldclass training systems. You will develop CNC programs, interpret blueprints and GD&T, select tooling, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to meet schedules.

A HS diploma with 3+ years of CNC programming/operation is required; DoD security clearance may be needed, and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED required.
3+ years CNC programming and/or CNC machine operation in a production environment.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using approved CAM software.
Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and associated equipment per drawings and specs.
Review and interpret blueprints, CAD data, process instructions, and GD&T to determine machining approach.
Select tooling, work holding, and parameters to ensure repeatability and accuracy.
Perform peer review checks using metrology tools and quality processes.
Identify and resolve machining or programming issues to meet specs and schedules.
Document setups, program revisions, and process notes with configuration control.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Program teams to ensure on-time delivery.
Support safety culture, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
