Job summary

Gro HR in Texas is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to push accuracy, throughput, and continuous improvement on the machining floor. You’ll develop optimized CNC programs, collaborate with machinists and engineering, and help shape our programming standards as the shop grows.

This role goes beyond running programs—you’ll own machining strategy from start to finish, ensuring quality and efficiency across mills and lathes.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience.
  • Strong Mastercam proficiency.
  • Solid milling and turning knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Multi-axis machining experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating directly with shop floor teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create, refine, and troubleshoot CNC programs using Mastercam.
  • Develop efficient toolpaths for multi-axis equipment (3, 4, and 5-axis experience a plus).
  • Collaborate closely with machinists to fine-tune setups, reduce cycle times, and improve quality.
  • Select the right tooling, cutting strategies, and workholding solutions for each job.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain clear, organized program documentation with proper revision tracking.
  • Support the quoting process with machining strategy input and time estimates.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of programming templates, standards, and best practices.
