Job summary

Astec, a global infrastructure and manufacturing company, seeks a skilled CNC Programmer to prepare operating programs for MasterCAM and various CNC centers. You will determine operation sequences, select tools, test programs, and occasionally operate to meet production needs.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to develop safe, efficient processes, write SOPs for setup, and maintain the CNC program database to ensure quality and traceability across projects at our Belleville

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ CNC programmer experience in heavy equipment manufacturing.
• Experience with MasterCAM or similar CAM software.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for drilling, tapping, milling, and boring operations.
• Prepare setup and operation SOPs for shop floor operators.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to optimize processes.
• Load programs into CNC machines and verify against drawings.
• Maintain and organize CNC program files and revision control.
