Job summary

Apex Geotech Drilling is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to program CNC equipment with G-code and CAM to produce precision parts for drilling and geotechnical applications. You will handle setups, fixturing, tooling selection, and offsets to machine complex components in steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys.

Strong G-code skills and the ability to maintain tight tolerances (±0.001") are required, along with mentoring CNC Operators and keeping thorough production and inspection records for

Qualifications

Responsibilities

A day in this roleYou step onto the shop floor, review a complex blueprint for a geotechnical component, and decide whether to hand-write G-code or generate toolpaths in CAM. You select fixtures and tooling, dial in offsets, cut the first piece from alloy steel, then verify every critical dimension. When something isn’t cutting as planned, you troubleshoot, refine feeds and speeds, and get back to spec.
