Job summary

Apex Geotech Drilling is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC machinery producing precision parts for drilling and geotechnical equipment.

Candidates should have strong G-code programming skills, the ability to maintain tight tolerances, and experience with CAM software. This role involves mentoring junior operators and maintaining detailed records in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years CNC machining experience.
• Proficiency in G-code programming.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances (±0.001).

Responsibilities

• Program CNC machines using G-code and CAM software.
• Set up fixturing, tooling, and offsets.
• Machine close-tolerance parts from steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys.
• Inspect finished parts to blueprint specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor CNC Operators and Assistants.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
