Job summary

Johnson Service Group in Simi Valley, CA seeks a CNC Programmer/Machinist with 5+ years of experience to program, set up Lathe/Mill machines, and produce first-article components for an aerospace customer.

Mastercam knowledge is a plus; candidate must read blueprints, apply GD&T, and ensure traceability per AS9100 while coordinating with vendors and performing preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience with lathe/mill operations.
• Familiar with Mastercam and GD&T reading.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident per ITAR.

• Ensure parts meet customer specs and ship on time.
• Machine prints to parts; perform live tooling.
• Maintain traceability per AS9100 standards.
• Inspect first run and complex parts; report defects.

• Perform preventative maintenance on machines.

Johnson Service Group a nationwide staffing Service is looking for a CNC Programmer/Machinist with 5 plus years’ experience doing programming. Knowledge of Mastercam is a plus. This is a Temp-Direct job for an Aerospace company in the Simi Valley, CA area. $37.50 HR

Responsibilities

• Program, set up Lathe/Mill machines and offset tools to create First Article components.
• Ensures product is machined per customer specifications and ships within the timeframe allotted.
• Machine Print-to-Part products.
• Performs Live Tooling on machine.
• Ensure traceability of the work completed per AS9100 standards.
• Will self-inspect first product run, complex proto-type and machined parts using appropriate tools in order to ensure quality products.
• Detects and reports defective materials.
• Work with vendors and purchasing to order materials/parts, tooling and supplies as needed for daily operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines as required.

Job Qualifications

• 5+ years of prior programming experience and/or combination of experience and education.
• Prior machinist experience operating Lathes and Mills (experience on Doosan machines a definite plus).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident per ITAR definition.
• Previous experience using MasterCam machining software is highly desirable.
• Applicant must be able to read and understand blueprints and complex sectional drawings.
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
