Job description

Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a CNC Programmer/ Machinist for their Grand Blanc, MI location.

Responsibilities:

• Programming, setup tooling, basic inspection, and finishing of parts
• Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and material specifications
• Program mills, utilizing manual G-Code Programming and CAM systems
• Maintain part specifications by adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance as specified by the manufacturer’s instructions
• Achieve organizational goals by accepting ownership and exploring opportunities to add value to the team

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years machining experience or equivalent
• Significant CAM software experience, preferably with Mastercam
• Sufficient 3D surfacing skills
• Tooling speeds and feeds selection responsibility
• Manual Mill and Lathe Experience
• 4-axis CNC Programming and operation
• Utilization of GD&T standards
• Interpersonal skills to work with diverse disciplines and cultures
• Strong organizational skills to communicate technical data effectively
• Strong analytical thinking skills
• Experience operating and programming 4/5 axis CNC machines
• Experience with horizontal and vertical CNC machines
• Familiarity with UG and TeamCenter
• CNC lathe programming and operation experience is a plus
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Hurco, Fadal, Makino, and Siemens controllers
• Understanding of the evolving racing environment
