Job summary

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC is seeking a qualified CNC Programmer for the Repairs Division to generate code, run simulations, and perform quality testing on power generation components.

You will set reference points and toolpaths, read engineering prints with GD&T, develop work-holding fixtures, and select speeds, feeds and tooling for exotic metals as well as steel and aluminum; verify programs by simulations and on-machine tests.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferably Autodesk Inventor and GibbsCam.
• Ability to read engineering prints, including GD&T.
• Develop work-holding fixtures and determine speeds, feeds, and tooling for exotic metals and standard materials.
• Reading G-code is required and essential for programming.
• Analyze instructions, drawings, and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selection, speeds, and feeds.

Responsibilities

• Generates program code using CAM-Gibbs software, runs simulations, conducts quality testing, and corrects/improves code for efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Determines reference points, machine cutting paths, and computes angular/linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures.
• Compares computer printouts with part specifications and blueprints to verify accuracy of instructions.
• Revises programs to eliminate errors and re-test to ensure problem resolution.
• Observes CNC machines on trial runs or simulations to ensure programs and machinery produce items meeting specifications.

The Repairs Division is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to Generate program code using computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM-Gibbs) software, runs simulation tests, conduct quality testing and correct/improve program code to increase efficiency, quality and safety. MD&A will offer the qualified individual a competitive base salary with significant opportunity for incentive compensation.
