Qualifications

• 6:00 am- 2:30 pm (Monday- Friday)
• Overtime, as needed

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $57,500 - $71,900. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a CNC Programmer!

Are you passionate about CNC Programming? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our fabrication function. As an Intermediate CNC Programmer, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The CNC Programming group is responsible for creating CNC programs throughout the fabrication department, including programs for lathes, mills, press brakes, punch press, laser, waterjet, and other technologies. You will work with various drawings and blueprints, maintaining high quality and safety standards, and collaborating closely with team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating and modifying 2D Sketches using Solid Edge CAD software
• Creating and modifying basic 3D part models using Solid Edge CAD software
• Creating 2D DXF Files from Solid Edge models and other files
• Developing and maintaining tooling standards and tool code assembly drawings
• Selecting tools, feeds, and speeds for machining
• Generating G and M machine code using CAM software
• Basic programming of robotic equipment
• Investigating trends and new technologies in tooling and processing
• Troubleshooting CNC programs with factory personnel
• Performing data tasks in Oracle and 3DX applications

What you'll Need To Succeed:

• Certificate in CNC/CAM related field or pursuing one
• Minimum 3 years experience with metal cutting operations
• Ability to read blueprints, perform shop math, use inspection tools, and read machine code
• Experience with SolidEdge or equivalent CAD software
• At least 1 year experience offline machine tool programming (Esprit preferred)
• Preferred experience programming robotic applications
• Minimum 3 years operating or programming machining equipment
• Experience with offline CNC programming and robotic programming

Major Physical Demands:

• Standing during program prove outs
• Occasional lifting of parts
• Frequent walking within the facility
• Occasional carrying of tools or parts
• Reaching and handling of parts and tools
• Frequent computer use
• Some travel may be required
