Job summary

Zing Recruiting partners with a leading Indianapolis manufacturing company to hire an experienced CNC Programmer. The role focuses on programming, improving, and supporting CNC milling operations while collaborating with machinists, engineering, and leadership.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of CNC programming experience, Mastercam skills, and the ability to read complex drawings and GD&T. On-site work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm, supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC programming experience.
• Experience programming 3- and 4-axis CNC mills.
• Mastercam programming experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in a technical field a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, models, and GD&T.
• Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• A positive, team-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and validate CNC programs for 3- and 4-axis milling equipment.
• Program and support CNC mills using Mastercam.
• Work with setup associates to prove out programs and optimize machining processes.
• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues and make timely corrections.
• Identify opportunities to improve cycle times, tooling costs, quality, and overall process capability.
• Support new product launches, process improvements, and other technical projects.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, models, blueprints, and specifications.
• Apply GD&T knowledge to programming and machining activities.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineering, and leadership to prioritize production support needs.
• Assist with training and provide technical guidance related to equipment, setups, work instructions, and print requirements.
• Help evaluate and implement new technologies and improvements to existing processes.

CNC Programmer – Indianapolis, IN

Work Schedule: (M-F 7:00am-4:30pm)

We are partnering with a leading manufacturing company in the Indianapolis area to identify an experienced CNC Programmer. This role will focus on programming, improving, and supporting CNC mill machining operations while working closely with machinists, engineering, and leadership.
