Job Description

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a CNC Programmer for a company based in North Houston, TX.

Schedule and Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Saturdays are mandatory if needed.

Responsibilities

1. Develop CNC programs using CAM software or manual coding based on engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Set up and operate CNC machines such as mills and lathes.
3. Analyze blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine optimal machining processes.
4. Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds.
5. Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to ensure quality and efficiency.
6. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize processes.
7. Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, tooling, and setups.
8. Train and mentor junior CNC operators.
9. Stay updated on CNC technology advancements.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
2. Experience creating, modifying, and optimizing G-code.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
4. Knowledge of Mastercam software.
5. Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, EPLAN).
6. Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
7. Previous experience preferred but not required.
