The role involves developing and programming CNC processes for manufacturing, under supervision of Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programming Team Lead. Responsibilities include writing machining programs, selecting tools, speeds and feeds, running simulations, creating setup sheets, and reviewing ECNs for improvements.
Qualifications
- Programming education from a vocational/technical school or 2 years of equivalent experience.
- Experience writing CNC programs and using CAM software.
Responsibilities
- Write machining programs for new parts.
- Maintain routings for current machines.
- Determine machining processes from drawings.
- Create setup sheets for programmed parts.
- Evaluate and improve code for efficiency, quality and safety.
- Review ECNs for potential changes.
