• 6:00 am- 2:30pm (Monday- Friday)
• Overtime, as needed

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $43,400 - $54,300. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a CNC Programmer!

Are you passionate about CNC Programming? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our fabrication function. As a Basic CNC Programmer, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The CNC Programming group is responsible for creating CNC programs throughout the fabrication department, including creating programs for lathes, mills, press brakes, punch press, laser, waterjet, and other technologies. You will work with various drawings and blueprints, from simple hand-drawn documents to CAD-generated assemblies. Maintaining high quality and productivity standards and adhering to safety practices are essential. Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work closely with Programmers, machinists, engineers, designers, and production personnel are required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating and modifying 2D Sketches using Solid Edge CAD software
• Creating and modifying basic 3D part models using Solid Edge CAD software
• Creating 2D DXF Files from Solid Edge models and other files
• Developing and maintaining tooling standards and tool code drawings
• Selecting appropriate tools, feeds, and speeds for machining
• Generating G and M machine code using Esprit and Radan CAM software
• Basic programming of robotic equipment applications
• Investigating trends in cutting tool applications
• Exploring new technologies related to tooling and processing methods
• Working with factory personnel to troubleshoot CNC programs
• Performing data tasks in Oracle and 3DX applications

• Maintaining punctual attendance
• Participating in meetings as required
• Communicating effectively and respectfully
• Other responsibilities as assigned

What you'll Need To Succeed:

• Certificate or pursuing a certificate in CNC/CAM
• Minimum 1 year experience with metal cutting/forming operations
• Ability to read blueprints, perform shop math, use inspection tools, and read machine code
• Good interpersonal skills for teamwork
• Experience with SolidEdge 3D modeling or similar CAD software
• Preferred robotic programming experience
• At least 3 years operating or programming machining equipment
• Experience with offline CNC programming for sheet metal and basic robotic programming

Major Physical Demands:

• Standing during program prove outs
• Occasional light lifting
• Frequent walking within the facility
• Occasional carrying of tools or parts
• Occasional reaching and handling of parts
• Frequent use of computer workstation
