Job summary

Oldcastle APG, Inc. in Utah is seeking a CNC Programmer to develop, test, and optimize CNC and Wire EDM programs for high-quality metal components. You will translate engineering drawings into precise machine instructions and set up tooling for extrusion and maintenance operations.

Work with engineering and production teams to improve processes, apply lean principles, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards using CAD/CAM software and precision measurement tools.

Qualifications

• Experience programming CNC machinery (Fanuc controls, mills, lathes, or 5-axis).
• Strong CAD skills for engineering drawings interpretation.
• Familiarity with CAM software for toolpath generation.
• Ability to read complex blueprints with GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC and Wire EDM to produce profiles for extrusion operations and maintenance.
• Develop and refine CNC programs for mills, lathes, and 5-axis machines using CAD/CAM.
• Interpret blueprints and translate specs into machine instructions.
• Set up tools and fixtures; validate alignment with precision gauges and CMM.
• Apply lean methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Troubleshoot programming or machining issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform quality checks with precision instruments to verify dimensions.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve tooling and processes.
