Linked, LLC in Utica, MI is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our production and maintenance teams. You will focus on CNC machining support, programming, tooling, troubleshooting, and process improvements to optimize efficiency and part quality.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance and Production to maintain CNC programs, support launches, and drive ongoing improvements across setups and operations while upholding safety and Lean principles.

Qualifications

• CNC programming experience and ability to modify programs.
• Experience with tooling improvements and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CNC machine control panels and operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot CNC machines, programs, tooling and work-holding.
• Experience supporting CNC setups and launches preferred.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean manufacturing principles and waste-elimination efforts.
• Collaborate with Engineering to write and update operator instructions.
• Lead CNC setup and programming improvements; troubleshoot tooling.
• Support new product launches from setup through first-off production.
• Implement process improvements to enhance machine capability and efficiency.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and comply with safety practices.
• Assist with APQP tooling and work-holding requirements as needed.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support production and maintenance operations with a focus on CNC machining support, programming, tooling, troubleshooting, and process improvements.

The CNC Programmer will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to improve machining processes, support new product launches, maintain CNC programs and tooling, and help optimize machine capabilities and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote Lean Manufacturing principles
• Participate in Elimination of Waste Team meetings
• Support company production goals and objectives
• Collaborate with Engineering to write and update operator instructions
• Train team leaders on CNC setup, program repairs, tooling, and machine troubleshooting
• Modify CNC programs and implement tooling improvements
• Investigate and implement CNC machining process improvements to optimize machine capability and efficiency
• Support production and assembly department goals
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and equipment
• Lead preventative maintenance tasks, corrective actions, and equipment improvements within assembly operations
• Support new product launches from setup through first-off production in coordination with Engineering and Maintenance
• Support Engineering with tooling and work-holding requirements during APQP
• Replace or repair damaged tooling and work-holding equipment for CNC machines
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and electrical safe work practices
• Utilize computers, printers, calculators, machinery control panels, and related equipment
• Perform wastewater handling duties after completing required training
• Support production readiness activities

Qualifications

• CNC programming experience, including program modifications
• Experience with CNC tooling improvements and troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of CNC machine control panels
• Ability to troubleshoot CNC machines, programs, tooling, and work-holding
• Experience supporting CNC setups and new product launches preferred
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria
• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical trade or manufacturing education preferred
• Some college education preferred
• Ability to work independently and support production, engineering, and maintenance teams
• Detail-oriented approach to programming, tooling, troubleshooting, and process improvement
