Zusammenfassung

Independence Tooling is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. Plan and optimize machining operations by reviewing orders and drawings, interpret 3D CAD models to define strategy, and develop CAM programs for milling, turning, and other operations.

You will determine sequences, tooling and parameters for efficient production, convert specs into CAM programs, and test and revise programs to improve cycle times and accuracy.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of CNC programming experience.
• Proficient with CAM software including WorkNC, Mastercam, PowerMill or NX CAM.
• Familiar with 3- and 5-axis machining modules.
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Fidia or Heidenhain controllers.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, GD&T and 3D CAD models.
• Knowledge of CNC milling and/or turning processes, tooling, fixtures and machining parameters.

Aufgaben

• Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, drawings, blueprints and specs.
• Review and interpret 3D CAD models to determine machining strategy, tool paths and material removal.
• Develop, write and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning and other operations using CAM software.
• Determine machining sequences, tooling, fixtures and cutting parameters for efficient production.
• Convert design specs into CAM programs and set up appropriate tooling.
• Calculate speeds, feeds and cutting paths to maximize efficiency and maintain tight tolerances.
• Test, validate and revise CNC programs to improve cycle times and accuracy.
