Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a CNC Programmer/Operator to join our Arlington, TX team. You will analyze blueprints, program and optimize CNC turning, set up and calibration, and run trial simulations to ensure precision.

The role emphasizes safe practices, collaboration, and high-quality output on a Monday–Friday day shift. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years programming and setup experience, familiarity with CAM software, and strong math and communication skills to document and

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience programming setup CNC turning.
  • Experience with CAM software preferred.
  • Strong understanding of basic machining practices and mechanical processes.
  • Solid math skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical details.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Dependable with a commitment to high-quality, precise work standards.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze specifications: Review job orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to calculate dimensions, select tools, and determine machine speeds.
  • Program CNC machines: Create and optimize CNC programs using CAM software to ensure precision and efficiency.
  • CNC setup & calibration: Set up CNC equipment, calibrate tools, and ensure proper machine function before production.
  • Trial runs & adjustments: Perform trial simulations, adjusting programs as needed to ensure accuracy and minimize errors.
  • Safety & cleanliness: Follow all safety standards, wear PPE, and maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment.
  • Cross-departmental support: Assist with other areas of production as needed to ensure smooth operations.

What You'll Do

Your Schedule
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
