Job summary

Kelco Industries in Woodstock, IL, is seeking a CNC lathe/mill technician to program, set up and operate Haas lathes and mills. The role focuses on supporting routing changes, new products, and process improvements while maintaining tooling and fixture standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient with measurement tools such as caliper, micrometer, drop indicator, optical comparator.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs and tooling/set-up plan for Haas CNC lathes and mills, supporting routing changes, new products, new processes, and process improvement.
• Ensure tooling capability, assist in product startups, tooling standardization, assist with planning projects from inception through production and assist with manufacturing issues.
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills daily.
• Assist Engineering to develop manufacturing processes improvements related to fixtures and tooling to reduce cost, lead time, change over, processing time, capacity constraints, and defects; include lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as required by the Department Manager.

Essential Functions

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills daily.

Required Skills
