Qualifications

• CNC machining experience, ideally 2–5 years; entry-level candidates may be considered.
• Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Mastercam experience is a strong plus; familiarity with G-code/M-code and CAD/CAM tools.
• Trade or associate degree in manufacturing or machining technology preferred; equivalent hands-on experience welcome.
• Manufacturing roles with troubleshooting or failure-analysis experience encouraged to apply.

Help bring new medical device products from design to production. Kelly Engineering is hiring multiple CNC professionals for a first-shift opportunity near Elmira, NY. We’re considering CNC programmers and setup technicians; programming experience isnot required for every role, and entry-level candidates may be considered.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with engineering to review designs and provide input on CNC manufacturability.
  
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) machining, including setup, programming, tooling, fixtures, process documentation, and inspection criteria.
  
• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for prototype and low-volume production runs.
  
• Perform first-article inspections and measure parts to verify quality and conformance to specifications.
  
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues; identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.
  
• Support process transfers to production and help maintain and calibrate CNC equipment.
  
• Follow safety and quality requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• CNC machining experience, ideally 2–5 years; entry-level candidates may be considered.
  
• Experience in programming, setup, operation, or troubleshooting.Programming experience is not required for CNC setup technician roles.
  
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
  
• Familiarity with CNC mills and lathes, including 3-axis or 5-axis machines.
  
• Experience with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers; CMM experience is a plus.
  
• Mastercam experience is a strong plus, as is familiarity with G-code/M-code and other CAD/CAM tools.
  
• A trade or associate degree in manufacturing or machining technology is preferred; equivalent hands‑on experience is welcome.
  
• Manufacturing engineers with hands‑on troubleshooting or failure‑analysis experience, CAD/tooling designers, and CMM programmers are also encouraged to apply.
