Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This individual will be responsible for creating programs, drawings, and workbooks using 3D CAD/CAM software, managing CNC operations, and ensuring production efficiency and quality.

Job title: CNC Programmer
Location: Streetsboro, OH
Shift: 1^st (flexible hours with 6 am to 8 am start time)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create programs, drawings, and workbooks using 3D CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks & SolidCAM)
2. Manage CNC work orders, materials, and fixturing requirements
3. Edit CNC programs to improve performance or meet specific job requirements
4. Perform first-piece setups on CNC machines to ensure correct operation
5. Troubleshoot CNC programming and tooling issues as they arise
6. Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality departments for new job approvals
7. Assist CNC operators with job execution and inspection procedures
8. Support the tool crib with tooling and setup requirements
9. Perform other duties as needed

Requirements:

1. 3+ years of experience in CNC programming and machining
2. Proficient with SolidWorks, SolidCAM, and Microsoft Office Suite
3. Strong background in advanced shop math
4. Proficient in the use of precision inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
5. Skilled in the use of hand tools and machine shop equipment
6. Ability to design or select specialized cutting tools and fixtures for production
7. Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
