Position Overview

As a CNC Programmer, you'll be responsible for creating, editing, and optimizing CNC programs for milling and/or turning operations. Your work will directly impact the quality and efficiency of the production floor. This role requires a strong understanding of machining practices, blueprint reading, and the ability to work closely with operators and engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and edit CNC machines using G-code and/or CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM)
• Translate blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings into efficient machine instructions
• Select tools, speeds, and feeds based on material and machining requirements
• Collaborate with machinists and production staff to ensure proper setup and part quality
• Troubleshoot programs and optimize for speed, accuracy, and tool life
• Maintain documentation and revisions for all programs and processes
• Assist with prototype runs, new part introductions, and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in G-code and CAM software
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
• Knowledge of cutting tools, machining processes, and materials
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with 3- to 5-axis machines is a plus
