Responsibilities

• Program multi-axis milling operations using Mastercam.
• Assist with setups and review setups prior to production runs.
• Provide setup sheets and tool lists to operators.
• Ensure dimensions align with blueprints or model specifications.
• Review inspection equipment at work centers before operation.
• Set up and operate complex runs (e.g., 1–50 pcs).
• Review blueprints to verify finished part dimensions.
• Design/fabricate fixtures when applicable and troubleshoot CNC issues.
• Monitor floor production and assist operators.

Job description

We are seeking a CNC Programmer/Milling Setup Machinist for a manufacturing company in New Britain. The ideal candidate will be someone who is proficient with Mastercam and Solidworks. Along with programming Milling manufacturing operations, they will also be assisting in full CNC setups throughout the floor.

salary: $63,000 - $87,360 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 4:30 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Programming Multi axis Milling operations utilizing Mastercam
• Assist operators with setups as well as reviewing setups prior to production runs
• Supply operators with setup sheets and tool list
• Supply operators with method and dimensions so operator can check parts turned, per blueprint or models specifications
• Review required inspection equipment at work centers prior to operation
• Setup/Operate complex runs (I.E. 1-50 pcs)
• Reviewing blueprints to ensure proper dimensions on finished parts
• Fabricate setup sheets/tool sheets
• Design/Fabricate fixtures when applicable. Troubleshooting CNC malfunctions
• Monitor floor production and assist operators.
