Job summary

Advanced Precision Engineering in Ipswich, MA, is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our aerospace, military, and medical diagnostics parts production. You will develop 2D and 3D geometries and run 4- and 5-axis programs using MasterCAM to manufacture complex components to exacting standards.

The role requires 5 years in CNC programming, strong blueprint reading, tooling knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team with continuous process improvement and compliance with

Qualifications

• 5 years of CNC programming experience on 4- and 5-axis machines.
• Proficient with MasterCAM and high-speed machining processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret tooling requirements.
• Strong problem solving and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Program 2D/3D geometries and alternating axis tooling.
• Develop 4- and 5-axis programs; create setup sheets.
• Optimize machining processes with Manufacturing Engineers.
• Troubleshoot programs on the CNC floor.
• Maintain safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Programming to develop 2D and 3D geometrical parts
• 4 and 5 axis programming using MasterCAM software
• Program and analyze new job orders
• Update existing programs and setup sheets
• Creates work instructions in the form of setup sheets
• Troubleshoots programs on the CNC Floor
• Identifies special tooling and requisitions
• Work with Manufacturing Engineers on machining processes
• Maintain the highest degree of safety always
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience programming 4 & 5 axis CNC machines using MasterCAM
• 5 years’CNC milling experience
• Tooling, fixturing, and material knowledge along with the ability to read blueprints
• High speed machining experienceExcellent computer skills
• Strong communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with AS9100 & ISO is a plus
