Key Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and maintain CNC programs for machining operations.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Determine optimal machining methods, tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters.
- Support machine setup and prove-out of new and revised programs.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues to minimize downtime.
- Improve cycle times and manufacturing efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams on new product introductions and process improvements.
- Assist with quality inspections and verification of finished components.
- Support estimating and purchasing activities as needed.
- Operate CNC machines when necessary to support production requirements and validate programming changes.
- Maintain program documentation and revision control.
- Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience programming CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC machining processes.
- Strong understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds, machining strategies, and manufacturing best practices.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting machine setup, process optimization, and production improvement initiatives.
- Experience with SolidWorks and GibbsCAM is preferred.
- Reverse engineering experience is a plus.
