Job summary

KLA Industries in New York is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join an aerospace manufacturing team. You will develop, test, and optimize CNC milling programs for precision components, collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Quality to ensure efficient, accurate processes.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree (Engineering or Manufacturing Technology) and a minimum of 5 years in CNC programming, with CAD and GD&T proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher in engineering or manufacturing technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience.
  • Strong experience programming CNC milling machines.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and GD&T interpretation.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and troubleshoot programs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize CNC programs for milling operations.
  • Program custom components and tooling for production.
  • Develop machining methods and tooling strategies.
  • Set up and support CNC milling machines in production.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and validate programs on equipment.
  • Modify programs for engineering changes and revisions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain programming documentation and revision control.
  • Support process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve quality.
  • Ensure programs meet safety, quality, and customer requirements.

Position Summary

The CNC Programmer will develop, test, and optimize CNC machining programs used to manufacture precision components. This individual will work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure efficient manufacturing processes, accurate programming, and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
