Siemens Energy is seeking a skilled CNC Process Technician to support turbine component manufacturing. You will set up and operate CNC equipment, interpret drawings, select tooling, and perform precision work on complex parts, guided by exact specs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of hands-on CNC operations with strengths in machining, welding, laser applications, and coating machines.
• Active forklift/crane licenses or ability to obtain immediately; Career Readiness / Work Keys Silver status.
• Proficiency in CNC setup/operation, loading/unloading workpieces, QA procedures, metrology, reading drawings; strong shop math.
• Ability to wear respirator and pass health tests.

Responsibilities

• Interpret detailed blueprints, sketches, and specs to plan tooling and machining strategy.
• Load and unload workpieces using jib/bridge cranes and forklifts; assist crane operations as needed.

Step into our climate-controlled manufacturing campus and contribute to the build of critical turbine and generator components across Steam Turbine, Large Generator, Gas Turbine, and Combustion product lines. From the moment you clock in, you’ll prepare CNC equipment, choose tools, and run precision operations on complex transitions—machining, bonding, welding, and manual finishing—guided by exacting drawings and specs.

• Set up and operate CNC-controlled equipment for multi-step operations on complex parts.
• Interpret detailed blueprints, sketches, and manufacturing specifications to plan tooling and machining strategy.
• Load and unload workpieces using jib and bridge cranes and forklifts; assist crane operations as needed.
• Adhere to established company procedures for machinery and equipment operation.
• Champion a culture of safety and quality while handling materials up to 50 lbs.

What You’ll Bring

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: 3+ years of hands‑on CNC operations with strengths in:
  • Machining
  • Welding
  • Laser applications
  • Coating machines (specific experience preferred)
• Certifications: Active fork truck/crane license (or the ability to obtain immediately upon selection); Career Readiness / Work Keys Certificate – Silver Status.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CNC setup/operation, loading and unloading workpieces, following QA procedures, performing complex metrology, and reading intricate drawings; strong shop math.
• Medical & Fitness: Ability to wear a respirator and pass a Process Operator Proficiency Test; must pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function testing.
