Job summary

The Lee Company in Connecticut is seeking a skilled machinist to transform specifications into in-tolerance parts on multiple machines, using Swiss lathes and CNC mills. You’ll mount tools, position workpieces, and verify reference points from the control console, ensuring tight tolerances and repeatable results.

You’ll maintain a clean, safe shop, restock materials, and report machine or tooling concerns while mentoring teammates and upholding production paperwork and blueprints.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school education.
  • Proven setup experience with Swiss lathes.
  • Fluency with computerized machine controls; adept with weight scales, comparators, microscopes, precision measurement instruments, hand tools, and specialized trade tools.
  • Computer skills for data entry and document production.
  • Mechanical aptitude paired with strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to proofread documents, read blueprints, train others, and complete production paperwork.

Responsibilities
