Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Press Brake Operator for a contract role in North Charleston, SC. The position requires operating CNC Press Brake equipment, reading 2D prints, and maintaining quality through measurement checks.

You will work 2nd shift, 4pm-2:30am, Monday to Thursday, in a non-climate controlled, onsite fabrication shop. Responsibilities include programming, setup, and operation, communicating with production leads, inspecting parts, performing routine maintenance, and upholding safety

Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in programming and setup.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of press brake tooling.
• Proficiency in using basic measurement instruments to verify components.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch.

Responsibilities

• Program, setup, and operate a CNC Press Brake, preferably Amada.
• Communicate effectively with production leads to meet production demands and follow schedules.
• Inspect production parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure efficient operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety employees to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
