Job summary

Insight Global is seeking two experienced Sheet Metal CNC operators for our client in Norfolk, VA. You will operate press brakes (Amada preferred) and laser machines to bend and form aluminum, copper, brass, and steel. You will follow work packages, interpret schematics, and provide prompt feedback on completed work.

This is an on-site, night-shift role with hours 10:30 pm to 7:00 am. Expect a hourly wage based on experience, with a base range of $35 to $40 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience operating press brakes and using precision lasers to bend and form aluminum, copper, brass, and steel materials.
• Ability to follow work packages and interpret schematics; provide prompt feedback on completed work.
• Experience reading blueprints and working with precise measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brakes and laser machines to form metal parts according to schematics and work packages.
• Ensure precise measurements and quality by using calipers, micrometers, and rulers; report variances promptly.

Job description

Experience operating a press brake (Amada preferred) and laser machine, accounting for precise measurements, cuts, and bends.

Experience working with aluminum, brass, copper, and steel materials.

Knowledgeable in interpreting blueprints.

Ability to use and read a tape measure.

Experience with basic tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision squares.

These candidates will be experienced with following work packages, interpreting schematics, and providing prompt feedback on work completed. This role is fully on-site, no travel required, and the hours are Monday through Friday, 10:30 pm – 7:00 am. The salary is based on years of experience and ranges between $35-$40/hr.
