Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a detail-oriented CNC operator to set up and run lathes and mills, interpret blueprints, and ensure quality parts are produced on schedule.

You will load materials, monitor cutting conditions, validate dimensions with precision tools, and maintain thorough production records. A 9-month machining training or equivalent is required; overtime and weekend work may occur.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Background in CNC or manufacturing preferred; willingness to learn.
• Able to read blueprints and follow written instructions with accuracy.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC lathes, mills, and related equipment to produce quality parts.
• Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications to configure machines correctly.
• Load materials, monitor cutting conditions, and maintain throughput and quality.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to validate dimensions and surface finishes.
• Adjust offsets, perform routine tool changes, and fine-tune processes as needed.
• Spot and report nonconformances, equipment issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Complete accurate production and inspection records every run.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
• Keep the work area clean and organized per 5S and housekeeping standards.
