Job summary

ERA Industries LLC is seeking a CNC operator to read drawings and set up/operate CNC machines safely, ensuring quality parts and meeting production targets. You will document work in the ERP system and keep records for traceability.

The role requires basic measuring skills and at least 1 year of CNC experience, with a willingness to be trained on listed tools and procedures. A 2nd shift with 8% differential is included.

Qualifications

• Ability to read drawings, work instructions and in-process inspection plans.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools (Micrometer, Caliper, Thread Gauges, Pin Gauges, Bore Gauges, Indicators).
• At least 1-year experience on CNC machines.
• Willing and able to be trained in listed aspects.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines safely to produce quality parts meeting production expectations.
• Document work on in-process inspection plans and ERP system to maintain traceability.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Be aware of FOD prevention and report incidents.
• Communicate concerns related to production, safety and quality to supervisor.
• Seek production time optimization and contribute to QMS effectiveness.
• Be a team player in a team environment.
• Use calibrated measuring equipment and notify quality if out of calibration.
• Handle machines, parts, and inspection equipment to avoid damage.
• Assist with Deburring, Assembly, Cleaning, Shipping and Receiving as needed.
• Maintain a positive attitude and punctuality.
• Be aware of quality, safety and ethics procedures.
• 8% shift differential for 2nd shift.

• Ability to use basic measuring tools (Micrometer, Caliper, Thread Gages, Pin Gages, Bore Gages, Indicators).
• At least 1-year experience working on CNC machines.
• Employee does not have all the above, but is willing and able to be trained in these aspects.

Duties & expectations:

• Operate CNC machine in a manner that is safe, producing quality product and meeting production expectations as set forth by management.
• Document work on in-process inspection plans and the ERP system as applicable to maintain traceability and records.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Understand and be aware of FOD prevention and report any incidents to the department manager.
• Communicate any concerns or issues related to production of parts, safety and quality to supervisor for particular machine or project.
• Look for optimization of production time and understand the contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS.
• Be a team player in a team work environment.
• Have basic measuring tools (Caliper, Micrometer,ect).
• Only use calibrated measuring equipment whether personal or company supplied. If not in proper calibration, notify quality department to have calibrated immediately.
• Handle machines, parts, and inspection equipment in a manner that will not cause damage or compromise product integrity.
• In the event of lack of work or another department needing assistance, you are expected to do any of the following, not limited to: Deburring, Assembly, Cleaning, Shipping and Receiving.
• Maintain a positive attitude and punctuality.
• Aware of procedures, quality policies, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety, and ethics.
• 8% shift differential for working 2nd shift
