Job summary

G.A. Richards Group in Zeeland, MI seeks a CNC machinist to operate and adjust NC machine tools, following blueprints and written instructions; familiarity with drilling, milling, turning, and related operations is needed.

Shift is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:15 PM; willingness to train. Benefits after 90 days include medical, dental, vision, vacation time, 401K, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operates and adjusts multiple semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided and setups are often made and maintained by others
• Knowledge of operations including drilling, boring, and milling, turning, etc.
• Recognizes tooling and procedures where tolerances are close, but not difficult to maintain
• Check parts for conformance to specifications
• Ability to use measurement devices
• Ability to change tools, manipulate machine program
