Job summary

Glenn Rieder Inc. in Las Vegas, NV, seeks a CNC Operator to cut, bend and V-groove parts for Assembly using CNC equipment and software.

You will read blueprints, set up jobs, and program shop machinery such as press brakes, shears, V-groovers and waterjets while maintaining clean work areas.

The position requires good teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight schedules in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings.
• Experience reading interior design drawings is a plus.

The primary function of the CNC Operator is to cut, bend and V-groove parts for Assembly using CNC equipment and software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for reading blueprints and materials to ensure that the correct data is entered into the CNC machine.
• Execute V-grooving and bending jobs utilizing the CNC machine
• Ensure that work area and surrounding areas are kept clean and maintained at all times
• Required to operate and program other shop machinery, including, but not limited to press brake, shear, V-groover and waterjet.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED. Some additional training at technical school is preferred.

Experience and/or Training:

• Ability to read blueprints, interior design and architectural drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under tight time constraints, demanding schedules, and prioritize.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

• Must pass pre-employment physical / musculoskeletal exam
• Must pass drug screening
• Must pass an audiogram test
• Must pass an audiogram test
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis

This position operates in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
