Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a CNC Setup / Operator to join a growing precision manufacturing team. The role involves setting up and running CNC centers or lathes, reading prints and setup documents, selecting tooling, and producing first pieces with adjustments for consistent quality.

Qualifications

• Solid machining experience setting up and running CNC centers or lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints and setup documents accurately.
• Experience selecting tooling and producing first pieces with adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers and/or lathes.
• Read blueprints, job travelers, setup sheets and work instructions.
• Select, install and adjust tooling; establish feeds, speeds and offsets.
• Produce first pieces and monitor quality throughout the run.
• Use precision measuring and inspection equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Make program edits or adjustments as needed per experience.

CNC Setup / Operator

Our client is a long-established, stable precision manufacturer entering a significant period of growth in the Menomonee Falls area. They are adding people across their manufacturing operations and creating opportunities for experienced machinists as well as people who want to continue developing their skills.

This opportunity is geared toward CNC machinists who can do more than operate equipment — setting up and running CNC machining centers and/or lathes, working from prints and setup information, selecting tooling, producing first pieces and making adjustments necessary to consistently produce quality parts.

The work may include:

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers and/or lathes
• Read blueprints, job travelers, setup sheets and work instructions
• Select, install and adjust tooling
• Establish or adjust feeds, speeds and machine offsets
• Produce and inspect first pieces and monitor quality throughout the run
• Use precision measuring and inspection equipment
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling and quality issues
• Make program edits or adjustments appropriate to your experience
