Job summary

Our client, a long-established precision manufacturer in the Menomonee Falls area, is experiencing growth and is adding skilled CNC machinists to their operations. This role focuses on setting up and running CNC milling and turning centers from prints and setup information, selecting tooling, producing first pieces and making adjustments to ensure quality parts.

Candidates should bring solid machining experience and the ability to work from setup sheets, read blueprints, and troubleshoot tooling

Qualifications

• Solid machining experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Able to read blueprints, setup sheets and work instructions.
• Experience with different machines and controls is a plus.
• Willingness to take on greater technical responsibility as operation grows.
• Strong problem-solving and quality-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers and/or lathes.
• Read blueprints, job travelers, and setup sheets.
• Select, install and adjust tooling; establish feeds and speeds.
• Produce first pieces and make adjustments to ensure quality.
• Use precision measuring equipment to inspect parts.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling and quality issues.
• Make program edits or adjustments based on experience.
• Adapt to different machines and controls as needed.

They are adding people across their manufacturing operations and creating opportunities for experienced machinists as well as people who want to continue developing their skills.

This opportunity is geared toward CNC machinists who can do more than operate equipment — setting up and running CNC machining centers and/or lathes, working from prints and setup information, selecting tooling, producing first pieces and making adjustments necessary to consistently produce quality parts.

The work may include:

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers and/or lathes
• Read blueprints, job travelers, setup sheets and work instructions
• Select, install and adjust tooling
• Establish or adjust feeds, speeds and machine offsets
• Produce and inspect first pieces and monitor quality throughout the run
• Use precision measuring and inspection equipment
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling and quality issues
• Make program edits or adjustments appropriate to your experience
