Job summary

Next Level Staffing seeks an experienced CNC Machinist/Operator to run multiple machines, including drill presses, lathes, mills and CNCs, ensuring parts meet print specifications. You will train other operators, replace tooling as needed, and document tool history while maintaining safe, ISO-compliant practices.

You will also perform first-piece inspections and monitor quality through visual checks and basic measurement devices, with a strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions.
• Must perform basic arithmetic for charting and calculations.
• Attention to detail to meet production requirements.
• Ability to stand 85-100% of the time.
• Proficient operating at least four machining centers.
• Understanding of part defects, tooling, and assembly practices.
• Ability to document and communicate shortages or disruptions.
• Strong written and verbal communication to relay information across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist and train other machine operators with startups and charting/documentation as needed.
• Replace worn or broken tooling and record changes in tool history.
• Verify parts meet print specifications and adjust offsets as required.
• Cross-train in various machining centers.
• Facilitate machine program changeovers; validate CNC program and fixturing.
• Start-up machines and perform tool offset adjustments.
• Load parts and operate machines safely following procedures.
• Maintain quality through inspections and adherence to work instructions.
• Communicate machine downtime or production issues to supervisors.
