Job summary

Erie Industrial Products in Oberlin, OH, is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our precision Machining team. You will set up and operate CNC mills, read blueprints, adjust tooling, and edit CNC programs to produce high-quality parts.

You'll work with X, Y, Z axes and 4th/5th axis machining, inspect parts with micrometers and calipers, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a clean, safe work area. Weekend overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC machinery.
• Knowledge of X, Y, and Z axes and 4th/5th axis CNC machining.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of G & M Codes and CNC program editing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and production documentation.
• Change fixtures, tooling, and tooling offsets to ensure accurate machine setup.
• Edit CNC programs and adjust G & M Codes, speeds, and feeds.
• Work with X, Y, and Z axis, as well as 4th and 5th axis machining.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and work with production and engineering teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while meeting quality and production goals.
• Additional duties as assigned.
