Job summary

Randstad USA in Bay Shore, NY is seeking a dependable CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and run CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision metal parts, following drawings and specs.

Candidates should live within 20 miles of Suffolk County and be able to work 8 AM to 4 PM. No degree is required; 2 years of experience with CNC equipment (Mazak a huge plus) and the ability to read blueprints and use calipers and micrometers are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or routers.
• Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring tools.
• Mazak machine/control experience is a HUGE plus!

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machinery to fabricate parts according to exact specifications and blueprints.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, tool changes, and minor adjustments to keep equipment running efficiently.
• Adhere strictly to shop safety guidelines, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Monitor machine performance during cycles to detect malfunctions, material defects, or tool wear, making adjustments or reporting issues as necessary.
