Job summary

GS Precision Inc in Keene, New Hampshire, is seeking a CNC Operator for the 2nd shift to produce precision components for aerospace and defense. You will operate machines after setup, adjust offsets, and inspect parts to ensure they meet tolerances.

Qualifications

• High School or GED preferred.
• 3 months - 1 year or more of experience.
• Machining experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to understand measurement and inspection devices.
• Able to interpret blueprints.
• Understand part placement to achieve optimum efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines assigned after setup by area supervisor, lead person, or setup person.
• Make adjustments (e.g., change tool offsets) as allowed to produce parts within tolerances.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, verniers, gauges, fixtures and other measuring devices.
• Recognize and report need for adjustments and toll sharpening.
• Report any problems or unusual circumstances to supervision.
• Maintain good machine practices at all times.
• Be responsible for production, both quality and quantity.
• Maintain production cards, records or other data as required.
• Keep area, equipment and tools neat and orderly.
• Observe all company policies, safety rules, and security.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
• Perform other duties as required.
