Job summary

AirPro Fan & Blower Company, located in Rhinelander, WI, is seeking a machinist to work with manual and CNC milling and turning equipment. You will machine parts to tight tolerances, inspect using precision instruments, and help ensure product quality and safety standards.

The role emphasizes accurate setup, tool selection, and working with a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. High school diploma required; ESOP culture and comprehensive benefits are part of AirPro's employee-owned

Qualifications

• Experience using machine tools (manual and CNC) to machine parts.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and specifications.
• Commitment to safety guidelines and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to specifications using manual and CNC lathes and mills.
• Measure and inspect parts with micrometers and calipers to ensure tolerance.
• Set up fixtures, tooling, and forming/producing tools as needed.
• Maintain quality standards and safe work practices.
• Follow lifting techniques and wear safety gear as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Machine parts and assemblies per engineered design, assist in other areas as required.

Position Requirements

Physical Requirements

Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane. Ability to lift 50 -75 lbs. regularly and 100 lbs. occasionally. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Noise level is usually moderate to high. Majority of the work is indoors. Temperatures can range from hot to cold.

Job Duties & Skills

• Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, like manual & CNC lathes, horizontal and vertical milling machines.
• Measure and examine machined parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, like micrometers and calipers.
• Machine fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts to meet special engineering needs such as forming tools required to aid in forming or bending steel.
• Ensure quality standards and processes are used
• Ensure safety guidelines are being met:
• Use proper lifting techniques
• Use of approved safety glasses, ear plugs and steel toe boots
• Perform all job duties in a manner safe to self and others
• Perform other duties as assigned
