Job summary

Burton Mill Solutions is seeking a CNC Operator I for 1st shift in Fountain Inn, SC. You will program and operate CNC lathes and grinders to produce high-precision blades and saws, following quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include setup, basic programming, tool changes, and SPC documentation, with opportunities for overtime. Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand through shift; HS diploma required and English proficiency essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and SPCs.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload steel and operate two Horizontal CNC machines in a cell.
• Perform basic programming and set up with appropriate programs/fixturing.
• Identify machine faults and troubleshoot where possible.
• Conduct quality checks and document SPCs for assignments.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and comply with PPE requirements.
• Cross-train to other positions and support Lean and Safety initiatives.

We are seeking a CNC Operator I | 1st Shift (Monday - Thursday 5AM - 3PM with overtime potential) to join our team of talented people to help continue our tradition of innovation and market leadership. This position works out of our facility in Fountain Inn, SC. Come and grow with us!

Mastering the art of precision, our CNC Operators take command by programming and loading/unloading computer-controlled lathes, mills, and grinders to craft high-precision metal blades and saws, ensuring every cut is flawless.

Pay range for this position is $20.00 -$24.00 USD/per hour

• Change tooling or saw blades to grind/cut steel
• Basic programming.
  -Set up level 1 machines with appropriate program and fixturing
  -Identify machine faults.
  -Operate two Horizontal CNC machines in the form of a cell.
  -Utilize basic shop math.
• Stay within limits for creating scrap.
• Use specialized saws or hand tool
• Use calipers and micrometers, must understand fractions and decimals
• Read industrial knife blueprints
• Complete Statistical Process Control Charts (SPCs) for all assignments
• Perform quality checks
• Forklift Certified (or able to become certified)
• Load and unload steel from machines
• General cleaning and maintenance of machines and area
• Work with a high sense of urgency
• Wear all required PPE
• May be required to provide support and training to others
• Active participation in Lean and Safety Training
• Must cross-train to other positions as requested
• Other duties as assigned.
