Job summary

Amsted Automotive Group is hiring CNC Operators for multiple shifts at the Shelby Twp plant. You will operate CNC machining centers, set up tooling, and ensure quality through checks and documentation. Lean principles guide daily tasks and continuous improvement activities.

The role demands hands-on machining experience, problem-solving, and adherence to ISO/quality standards. Competitive benefits accompany a comprehensive work schedule across three shifts.

Qualifications

• 2 years of automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Active participant in Elimination of Waste Team meetings.
• Support the Company’s goals and objectives.
• Operate machinery in CNC machining centers.
• Set machine controls according to program and install fixtures.
• Set up, repair tooling and troubleshoot machines in their cell area.
• Make first-piece checks and adjust tools to maintain dimensions and quality.
• Complete daily production paperwork (production reports, TAKT, scrap reports, etc.).
• Position and remove tools as prescribed.
• Perform quality checks as specified by Quality control.
• Report any quality defects to Team Leader or Supervision.
