Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Cleveland, TN is seeking a CNC Operator III (2nd Shift) at our Eaton Facility. This role involves fabricating parts per drawings using punches and turret presses, and performing quality checks with calipers and tape.

Core hours are 3PM to 11PM with an hourly rate of $24.64. You will follow safety policies, maintain equipment per 5S, cross-train across departments, and assist with materials handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience interpreting drawings/blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
• Previous fabrication experience with presses (ex-punch, turret, CNC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use manufacturing information to determine parts and fixtures and obtain materials.
• Perform quality checks with measuring instruments or templates.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a CNC Operator III (2nd Shift). This position is located at our Eaton Facility in Cleveland, TN.

The hourly rate for this position is $24.64 hourly rate per hour. The Core Hours are 3PM - 11 PM

What you’ll do:

• Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment
• Perform job duties in a manner that follows Eaton Quality standards and systems
• Fabricate parts according to drawings, routings and work instructions using punch presses and turret presses
• Use manufacturing information to determine necessary parts and fixtures and obtain materials from stock areas
• Perform quality checks consistent using measuring instruments and/or templates
• Operate auxiliary equipment (e.g., automatic feeds, scrap cutters, conveyors, limit switches, straightener and safety equipment) set and adjust fabrication materials and equipment (e.g., dies, ram stroke)
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas using Eaton’s 5S procedures
• Cross-train in various areas of the department and train new hire operators on presses
• Perform other duties, as assigned by supervisor
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand throughout working shift and work overtime as needed

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution
• Fabrication Experience operating presses ex-punch presses, turret presses, CNC presses.
• Experience with precision-measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, tape measures);
• Experience working with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, drills)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Operator 1 qualifications must be fully completed.

Skills:

• Ability to interpret drawings and/or blueprints
• Ability to troubleshoot operations equipment
• Experience with Mapics and Matrix computer systems
