Job summary

JET Tools is seeking a CNC Operator, 2 in Albert Lea, MN to operate CNC machines with growing independence. This role includes setup, tool changes, offsets, and producing complex parts with tight tolerances. You will report to the supervisor of production and support training of entry-level operators on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalency required.
• Some technical training or experience in CNC operations required.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines including fixture installation, tooling changes, and offset adjustments.
• Run medium-complexity parts with tighter tolerances.
• Interpret part drawings and work instructions.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machining issues.
• Maintain production efficiency and quality standards.
• Assist Operator 1 team members with training and support.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain machine tooling and monitor wear.
• Record production and quality data as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
