Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Danville, KY is seeking a CNC Machine Operator 2 to set up and operate CNC machines, read blueprints, and contribute to quality and efficiency in production.

You will train others, handle measurement tools, and support safe, organized manufacturing. Minimum high school diploma with 1–2 years experience preferred. Join a team focused on engineered solutions and career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1-2 years’ experience with Apprentice Program preferred.
• Training in set-ups and machining operations of CNC machines.
• Detailed reading comprehension and intermediate math skills.
• Able to read simple blueprints and operate basic software.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines following detailed instructions for set-up and standard work.
• Monitor, measure, and record quality data (dimensions, weight, etc.).
• Read prints, adjust tooling, interpret programs, and coordinate with service technicians.
• Train other associates in equipment setup, operation and troubleshooting.
• Move material and track orders to keep production flowing efficiently.
• Use calipers, micrometers, depth gauges and software tools as needed.
• Perform receiving, packing and shipping duties and keep a safe, clean area.
• Observe safe work practices and participate in plant housekeeping.
• Skilled at machine change over (SMED) to accommodate many programs.
